🟢 PROMOTER
The Dead of Winter Costume Competition is operated by Dead of Winter Festival.

🟢 ELIGIBILITY
Entry is open to all valid ticket holders attending Dead of Winter Festival 2026 at Mansfield Tavern on Saturday 27 June 2026.

Entrants under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

🟢 ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
To enter the competition, participants must attend the festival in costume and present themselves to competition staff, photographers, roaming judges or designated competition areas during the event.

Costumes are encouraged to embrace the spirit of Dead of Winter, including horror, monsters, zombies, punk, gothic, post-apocalyptic, theatrical, alternative and creatively chaotic themes.

🟢 PROHIBITED ITEMS & SAFETY
For safety reasons, the following are not permitted:
Real weapons or dangerous props
Open flames or pyrotechnics
Items that obstruct emergency procedures or venue operations
Offensive, discriminatory or hateful imagery
Unsafe footwear including steel-capped boots
Anything deemed unsafe by venue security or festival management

Festival management reserves the right to refuse entry into the competition for any costume considered unsafe or inappropriate.

🟢 JUDGING
Judging may occur throughout the festival and/or during an on-stage presentation.

Judging criteria may include:
Creativity
Effort and detail
Originality
Audience reaction
Overall Dead of Winter spirit

The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

🟢 PRIZES
Prize packs may include:
Dead of Winter merchandise
Band merchandise
VIP upgrades
Sponsor prizes
Tickets to future events
Additional festival-related items

Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash.

🟢 PHOTOGRAPHY & MEDIA USE
By entering the competition, participants grant Dead of Winter Festival permission to photograph, film and use their likeness for promotional, marketing and social media purposes without compensation.

🟢 BEHAVIOUR
Entrants must comply with all festival and venue rules at all times. Aggressive, unsafe or inappropriate behaviour may result in disqualification and/or removal from the event.

🟢 CHANGES & CANCELLATION
Dead of Winter Festival reserves the right to modify, suspend or cancel the competition if required due to operational, safety or unforeseen circumstances.
